“I have had the pleasure or having Steve work on my cars for years out of the Newberg shop and I recommend him to anyone who does not yet know of him in the McMinnville area. He recently took in my Mercedes e320 on short notice and replaced a front axle on an all wheel drive. He did it on time and at a very fair price. What else could you ask for in a professional group of mechanics.”

“This is the only place we have ever taken our 2003 Ford Focus to get serviced and it has outdone itself in terms of reliability. We have had to put very little money into it specifically because Ron is always very honest and realistic about what needs to be done.

We were reminded of this recently when another mechanic came up with $800 worth of stuff to fix during a routine oil change. We took the car to Ron to have the repairs made and he discovered there recommendations were not only unnecessary but they missed the big problem altogether. We were able to get our car diagnosed, fixed and back on the road all in one day thanks to Ron. We have lived in Tigard for the last 4 years but still make the trek to Mac to have Ron work on the car because we actually trust him.”

“Thought we had a bad starter. Talked to Barry and he told us to bring it in, could be starter or could be a bad battery. Brought it in, Barry took a look at it, hooked it up to some machine told us we had a good battery, told us how to clean some gunk off of it. Determined our starter was ok. We were on vacation. He told us to have fun, and sent us on our way without charging a dime, or accepting a tip. Thank you Barry!”

“Ray's Auto Service was recommended to me by the cashier at the Mazda dealership. I had not even driven my Mazda3 20,000 miles, but I already needed new tires (something about speed and performance over durability...whatever).

I went to Ray's and spoke to Ron (the owner) who spent a 1/2 hour with me looking into options that would last me a long time, but be affordable at the same time. Aside from the fact that my old tires were 'sporty,' they were also an odd size that Ron had never ordered in before.
He was completely upfront and honest with me during the whole process, explaining what the ratings on the tires meant and showing me the cost, etc. I feel like I can trust him 100%, which is saying a lot for someone in the auto industry - and especially when said auto industry types are dealing with a woman.
I LOVED my experience here and recommend Ray's Auto Service to anyone who is looking for great service at a reasonable cost.”
